ITI, SimTech and GS-IMTR Welcome Guest Professor Adit Singh

October 17, 2025

The Institute of Computer Architecture and Computer Engineering (ITI), the Cluster of Excellence “Data-Integrated Simulation Science” (SimTech) and the Graduate School Intelligent Methods for Test and Reliability (GS-IMTR) are proud to welcome Professor Adit Singh of Auburn University as a Guest Professor from August to October 2025. Professor Singh is one of the leading researchers worldwide in the area of test methods and reliability. He has produced impactful results on topics that are of utmost interest for GS-IMTR and SimTech alike, ranging from modeling and simulation of failure mechanisms in advanced nanoscale integrated circuits to systematic analysis methods for failing circuit data from semiconductor manufacturing. Professor Singh is Godbold Endowed Chair in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He co-authored over 300 scientific publications, received four best paper awards, five patents, and gave over a dozen keynotes. He is a Life Fellow of IEEE. During his stay in Stuttgart, Professor Singh plans to conduct innovative research on cross-layer approaches for system-level test, where simulation and data analysis are essential. He will also give several advanced courses on test and reliability, targeted towards GS-IMTR and SimTech but open to students and researchers in Stuttgart. The picture shows him presenting his research on the topic of “Statistical Methods for IC Test and Reliability Optimization”.
